The convent also features early frescoes, including a striking crucifixion and a unique spiritual genealogy of St. Francis. We then continue to Taxco (1.5 hours), a picturesque silver-mining town with steep cobblestone streets and whitewashed houses. Here, we visit the 18th-century baroque Santa Prisca Cathedral before returning to Mexico City.
